They shall grow not old,
as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,

It has occurred to me that it is possible not all you may have heard the desperately sad news that my former husband, Peter, died very suddenly on the afternoon of Saturday 26th June 2010 in Muldersdrift, South Africa. It is thought he must have had a heart attack. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. Peter was 68. Apparently he had been having severe breathing difficulties recently, even having been in hospital during May 2010. Peter’s brother, Mervyn, who lives in the UK and who, with his wife, Mary, was at the wedding in February 2008, of our younger son, Jeremy and his lovely wife, Laura, phoned me at about 5pm on Saturday 26th May with this very sad news. This has been a terrible shock to all of us and we are naturally extremely distressed and so very sad.
I am sending this email to each of you with the blessing of Peter’s brother and sisters and also of our son, Jeremy. If you have already heard of Peter’s death please forgive me.
Peter was the eldest of five siblings. Geraldine, Peter’
