Snoekie Shellhole

My dad, Jimmy Frieslaar, who is a member of Snoekie Shellhole in Cape Western province, was awarded The Navy Cross at a medal parade in Simonstown on 25 July 2008.10.14

In 2000, my dad and another Naval NCO, CPO Williams, saved the then Naval Reserve base, SAS Yselstein from a mountain fire that was threatening to engulf the base and other naval installations in the area in Simonstown. I have attached some photos to be placed under the Snoekie Shellhole space on the Mothwebsite.
