Directions to Steel Helmet MOTH HALL

Cnr 16^th Street & 2^nd Avenue

PARKHURST – Jhb

 

From Pretoria City M1 Highway towards Johannesburg.

Take the Corlett Drive turnoff (left) Keep to your right and turn right into Corlett Drive at robot.

Keep going straight up, past the Wanderers Cricket grounds.

Turn left at robot at top of the road into Oxford (keep in right lane)

At next robot turn right into Bompas - straight over first robot, then cross over Jan Smuts (robot) Dunkeld shops on the right.

At T-junction turn left into Northumberland - over speed hump,

Turn right into Summerset, over traffic circle into Buckingham, over 2 more speed humps –

Turn left at next traffic circle into 1^st Ave (it reads Clarence on right!) Vet clinic on right hand side.

Cross over 2 more traffic circles’, at next traffic circle turn right into 16^th Street,

Cross over traffic circle - Hall is on your left, turn into gate - and there you are.

MOTH sign on the hall wall.

Parking entrance is in 16^th Street.

From Johannesburg City take the M1 Highway North towards Pretoria.

After the Braamfontein off-ramp take the JAN SMUTS turn-off –Turn LEFT into Jan Smuts Ave. Stay in the left lane.

At the first traffic light, turn LEFT into Loch Avenue.

Follow Loch all the way – at the bottom of the hill the road bends to the right and becomes WESTCLIFF DRIVE continue with this road until you come to traffic light –

Turn LEFT into WICKLOW ROAD- follow all the way down, cross over traffic lights at the Parkview Golf Course. WICKLOW changes name to BRAESIDE.

Cross straight over next traffic lights (HOYELAKE) there is a fork in the road – keep going straight – do not turn left – cross over next traffic light (GLENEAGLES) past the Pirate’s Bowls and Rugby club, cross over bridge up to traffic lights at 6^th Street & 4^th Avenue. (Solly Kramer bottle store on left) Continue down 4^th Avenue (it was Braeside) for ten blocks.

Go straight (you are now in Parkhurst) over several traffic circles

TURN RIGHT INTO 16^TH Street. The MOTH Hall is in the 2^nd block on your right hand side. MOTH sign on the hall wall.

Parking entrance is in 16^th Street.
