Gorgeous Wrecks GXR Shellhole (The Wrecks) meets on the first Monday of every month with the exception of January at the Pretoria High School Old Boys Club, Queens Crescent, Lynnwood, Pretoria at 19:30hrs.

It is with deep regret that we have to report the Sunset Call of one of our oldest members.

Moth Eddie Marsburg passed away on June 30^th this year at the grand old age of 89, one of the only two remaining Moths in the Shellhole to have seen service in the Second World War.

Eddie was a musician of note and could tickle the ivories as well as beat the drums. He was a member of the SA Police Band and even did a stint with Boswell/Wilkie Circus. He also taught music to up and coming musicians at his church.

He will be sadly missed.

After many discussions and meetings, our Shellhole is being re-furbished by our hosts, the Pretoria High School Old Boys Club. The premises suffered some slight damage when a water pipe burst, and while a problem at the time, it did lead to a firm decision by the Club’s management to attend to the entire area, including the areas used by the Shellhole for storage and meetings.

One of our fellow Moths is also investigating the disappearance of the Role of Honour which we hope to restore to its rightful place once the alterations are completed.
