WARRIOR OASIS MOTH COTTAGES
There are 25 cottages in the complex, 13 double and 12 single, a club that includes 2 halls, the Warrior Shellhole (The Sanctuary) and a church on the property, the Muldersdrift Union Church.
The cottages are situated off the N14 Krugersdorp/Pretoria highway about 1,2km south of Muldersdrift, the closest centre that includes a Spar, Post Office, petrol station, doctor’s clinic and Police Station. Krugersdorp is about 12km south of the cottages. The "Cradle of Humankind" is about 15km away and there are a number of guest houses and other places of entertainment in the immediate area. Lanseria Airport is about 15km north off the N14 highway.
There are no frail care facilities at the cottages and residents should be reasonably mobile as the complex is built on sloping ground and there are a few fairly steep inclines that have to be negotiated. Unfortunately, the area is not particularly wheelchair friendly.
Two Moth Shellholes, Warrior and Oasis, have combined their efforts to run and maintain the cottages and have formed a management committee, WOCMAC, to run the affairs of the cottages. A custodian has been appointed to look after the day-to-day running of the cottages and takes care of maintenance, etc.
