Moth John Laird Fitz Henry

With great sadness, Marshal Smuts Shellhole has to inform, 19475 Moth John Laird Fitz Henry, answered the Sunset Call yesterday evening after a long illness bravely borne.

Moth Fitz Henry, who joined the Order during May 2012, left a lasting impression with all who met him. He followed a long military career in the Reserve Forces where his postings included that of RSM of the SA Irish Regiment, Brigade Sergeant Major and Group Sergeant Major and was a successful businessman in Johannesburg before retiring to Somerset West. At Marshal Smuts he served as Shellhole Sergeant Major and will be remembered for his active contributions from the Floor at meetings.
