Moth Charles Huyghe answered the Sunset Call

It is with great sadness and deep regret that i need to inform you, that Moth Charles Huyghe answered the Sunset Call early this morning (27/12/2016). He had been in hospital after falling at the dentist and breaking his leg.

We urge as many Moths as possible attend this great mans funeral. View Memorial Service details

The following is an extract which will appear in the Oasis Shellhole minutes for January 2017.

Moth Charles Huyghe. (11-03-1923 to 27-12-2016) Charles served in the Belgium Army 1939 to 1940. The Armed Resistance 1941-1943. Royal Air Force (1943-1945) and the Belgium Colonial Army (Belgium Congo) (1945-1962). He joined Oasis Shellhole in January 1962 and transferred over to Overlord Shellhole in 1974. He transferred back to Oasis in 2013 when Overlord Shellhole closed. Unfortunately due to ill health and starting to lose his sight he was unable to attend many meetings of Oasis after his transfer back to us. He also took a keen interest in the activities of Sandton Commando. During his life he was awarded the following Medals and Decorations
