Our Objectives
Assisting the Memorable Order of Tin Hats socially and in their benevolent activities in the interest of Service and Ex-servicemen/women and their dependants.
To erect and maintain Homes for the Aged and to provide accommodation, meals, nursing or other amenities and to assist indigent persons.
The Organisation shall work towards and assist in the benevolent activities of any Organisation devoted to the relief of the indigent aged and suffering to any section of the community as long as the basic principles of the M.O.T.H. and M.O.T.H.W.A. are strictly adhered to, and provided that such activities do not contravene the Rules and Regulations of the NON PROFIT ORGANISATION ACT.

Being non-political, neither as a body nor individually may the members act or work in such a way as to involve the name of the Auxiliary or the M.O.T.H. Order.
Area of Operation
The Organisation shall collect contributions in their AREA OF OPERATION and shall conduct business within the Republic of South Africa.
Management of M.O.T.H.W.A.
Mothwa organisation is administered by National Headquarters over the seven provinces.
National Executive is elected at Bi-ennial AGM every two years. 2017 Bi-ennial is scheduled to be
held in October 2017 at Pure Joy Lodge, Pretoria.

Qualification for membership
Qualification for membership shall be a sincere desire to assist the Memorable Order of Tin Hats and its Women’s Auxiliary (MOTHWA) in all their works of benevolence. It is not necessary to be the wife or female relative of a serving or Ex-serviceman. Candidates shall have reached the age of 18 years.

Monte Stanco Mothwa that recently completed the Memel to Newcastle Walk on Womens day 9th August 2018. The distance was 52km and they each walked a leg of the race. The ladies completed the distance in a great time of 7.30 hours.
Despite the icy cold weather and rain it was a wonderful day.

What a wonderful occasion to open the Monte Stanco Mothwa Shellhole on the 22/04/2017 after a 17 year absence.
Thank you to the National Lady Billie Joan Smith for all her help and assistance to get to this point. Thank you to the Provincial Lady Billie Marie Becking for being there to assist with all our queries and concerns. Thank you to Mothwa’s Zibby, Esther, Mellanie and Shirley for being there to celebrate this occasion with us.
To the Old Bill of Monte Stanco Shellhole Danie Fourie we extended a special thanks for allowing us to use the Shellhole as our home base.
