June 24 meeting, including a Raid by Highway Shellhole.
Better ‘Ole Shellhole had their monthly meeting on Saturday 8th June and we were pleasantly surprised to be raided by Highway Shellhole from Hillcrest. They came with 12 members, what a raid. I guess that had to send a large contingent as Better ‘Ole raid them regularly ! ! Payback time.
Our newest member Raymond Bender of May’s induction was lucky to have won the draw and won the Chain “Ball Breaker” and gets the Top Hat, thus giving him one FREE drink. Years back when drinks were lots cheaper the winner had free drinks, provided he wore the top hat & chain. How times have changed & costs.
Then surprise surprise to see our ‘Hop a long’ Old Bill Hylton with his left leg in plaster.
He had an op on his ankle so we wish him a speedy recovery.
And lastly picture No 11, I am not sure if Highway were ‘stealing’ this gas burner from Better ‘Ole. But caught in the act !

Comarades Marathon 2018
Pic of some of those Mainline Moths and friends who braved the elements to marshal at Comrades Marathon this is one of our fund raisers every year this year we had 35 marshals and after marshaling we returned to Better Ole shellhole for a welcome Potjie and some liquid refreshments a great day was had and thanks to all who volunteered.
