RATEL SHELHOLE ARRANGE THE WITBANK ARMISTICE PARADE
For the first time in many years Ratel Shellhole hosted the Coalfields District Armistice Day parade in 2018.
Ratel’s organisation and preparation was most appropriate for the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. Over one hundred MOTHS, Friends of the MOTH and the general public were in attendance for the ceremony and over fifty MOTHS and Friends of the MOTH were on parade. They were joined by a mounted contingent from the Mpumalanga Equestrian Club of Mpumalanga.
After a short and dignified ceremony the laying of a record number of wreaths took place.
It was also announced that a sizable amount of R14 212.20 had been collected in the Poppy Day collection on the Saturday
ANNUAL RATEL SHELLHOLE SHOOTING COMPETITION
Moths and members of the public braved the freezing cold weather on 16 June 2018 to attend the
Annual Ratel Shellhole shooting competition at the Witbank Shooting Club.
Once again the attendance was good and the calibre of the shooting was excellent
