It is with great sadness that Twilight Red Tab announce that Moth Vi has answered the sunset call. Moth Vi was one of the unsung heroes who served on the home front during world war 2. She served on the Durban city civilian protective services between 1940-1945. Letters of recognition for services rendered are on our files from the mayor of Durban at the time as well as from Oom Jannie Smuts himself. Vi was awarded the South African Medal for War Service by the secretary of defence at the time. A well respected and loved member of our shellhole, we will remember her.
A requiem mass will be held for vi at St. Catherines Church, 442 main road, Escombe, Queensburgh, 4093. On the 29th August 2017 at 9h00h.
