Acting in the best interest of you our members, visitors, and the public, some being international tourists who frequent our museum. The Warriors Gate committee and I have decided in good conviction, to temporarily close Warriors Gate and the Museum for the interim from today the 16th March, and until further development and resolution regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our country.
This we believe is the responsible thing to do, considering the potential risks through exposure and reservations regarding the wellbeing of our Museum Curator, his family, and an additional Moth member and his family, who live in the direct vicinity of Warriors Gate, and in this regard, personnel who assist to clean the museum weekly.
The planned clean-up and alignment of the museum by the Scout troop next week during their school holidays, and Moth member and committee volunteers as noted, has also been suspended until further notice.
All meetings pre-planned or otherwise at Warriors Gate and for that the Sanctuary, must be first cleared with myself directly, via email approved correspondence. (please email MOTH office at mothoffice@worldonline.co.za for response).
I shall endeavour to keep you updated regarding the Museum activities and status as this crisis abates. Keep Safe, Healthy and Well. God Bless.
Respectfully, Yours Under the Tin Hat
Moth Michael Lee
Chairman – Warriors Gate & Mount Memory
